What Clients Want

We live in a world where you have approximately 8 seconds to make an impression on a potential customer. With such limited time, how do you leave a lasting impact? As business owners, we want to stand out enough to have our customers to pick up the phone right away to book our services.

We have comprised a list of 5 ways to stand out.

  1. Make your business visible. Utilize images that truly show what you do and what makes you different. By having imagery, we are instilling into our customers’ minds what we do and how we run. People are more inclined to work with a business when they can see exactly what they are buying.

  2. Utilize social media as a marketing tool. Almost every person you know has a computer. CNN did a study that showed that Americans spend on average 10 hours a day on the computer. Nearly 9 nine hours of that is spent on social media as according to the Washington Post. If your social media isn’t working for you and you are boosting posts without results perhaps consider hiring a consultant who specializes in that field.

  3. Make yourself Accessible. More and more companies are realizing that the normal 9 to 5 work schedules are becoming obsolete. More people are telecommuting. Schedules are constantly changing. It would be a wise move to make your business remain open at different hours for individuals who work more unique hours. With the market constantly changing, we need to change with the times.

  4. Call back time. Who likes sitting on the phone for 30 minutes waiting to for a representative? I know I don’t! Offer a call back time or a time frame to which you can reach out to a client so it’s convenient for them. In addition, when you set that call back time make sure you follow up during the time frame You don’t want to lost the sale nor have the individual searching elsewhere for another company. The client will be more inclined to work with you because they know you are open to their needs and you follow through.

  5. Ask how you did. After a job is complete make sure you follow up with the customer for feedback. By following up you are more likely to gain a positive review as well as a possible referral for a future job. People love to work with people that are trusted and recommended through friends and family. The best compliment anyone can ever receive is more business.

Be different. Be fun. Be you. If you do not stand out you will never be known.
